What is this sensor called? I went in thinking it was a cam position sensor but the diagrams at the discount Toyota parts sites have it labeled as a crank sensor or it's quite possible I'm not reading their diagrams correctly :noidea:

Cam position sensor. The crank sensor looks very similar, but is located under the timing cover down by the crank timing wheel

It's the cam position sensor.

rockauto.com has 3 different brands for under $100.

I may go that route but I meant something like denso or one of the OEM brands. It seems some of the tacoma world guys recommended a delphi but they cost as much as OEM if not more.

Beck arnley may be fine but it was barely cheaper than OEM.
