What is this part

I found this in the driveway when I started washing the silver sr5. I have a limited too and I have been swapping the trucks in the driveway. It is about 2 inches on the big side and 1.5 inches on the small side.

I found it near the front driver tire. I guess the gas cap would have to come off for this? I can check both.

We got a feral cat fixed today. Tomorrow I am going to look underneath and at the fog lights. The part is whole and not torn. I dont see how it could be the CV boot.

I do have to take one to the dealer and will ask them if I cant see anything.

Not sure if it is but it looks like what I would call a rubber spring insulator. I used to see them lying around at the junkyard a lot.

Since you were washing your car when you found it, perhaps it's not from the car at all and instead came off something else you were using? Like part of the garden hose nozzle for example? :noidea:
