What is this thing?

I just cleaned my "new to me" 2000 4runner SR5. I found this in the center console. Anyone know where its supposed to go? Or is this not related to the 4Runner? If you do know where it goes, can you post up a pic of it?

Looks like an end cap for a lawn chair frame (or something.) I don't recognize it as a T4R part.

How big is it? Could be the rubber plug from one of your rear brake backing plates. The plug I speak of is used to cover the hole to adjust the rear brakes and is only about 1 inch wide.

How big is it? If it's pretty small, then I would maybe guess it's the shift lock release cover.

It is one inch by two inches. i'm gonna see if its for the brake light later

Ahhh, definitely too big to be the shift lock cover.
