What is with fedex?

Ok so wednesday. I get a confirmation that my light bar shipped from Arvada, CO. To me in Harrison, AR.(as you can see only a 12 hour drive straight there, so how is it 8 days lol) I run tracking on it today. It shows me it was in Kansas city, MO. (4-5 hour drive depending on traffic) . Tracking shows delivery on next Thursday.(another 6 days) i could maybe see being out for delivery on tuesday at this point, because i know my shipment will drive right past me on the way to memphis(and right past fedex HQ, about a mile from me) and sit there for the weekend before being sent to arkansas on monday then should be delivered on tuesday. So where do the other 2 days go? Final pic shows i should still be able to ship from Arvada to harrison and make it before my package does. I think fedex might be ran by idiots.

crazy timing. yesterday I get a text from a random stranger saying my package from FedEx showed up on his doorstep. he opened it thinking it was his and found my name and phone number on the packing slip. I live in a townhome community so I was thinking he just lives in the same community and FedEx dropped it at the wrong building. he lives on the complete opposite side of town, his address and name are nothing remotely close to mine except the city. The shipping label had my name and address, but then some random sticker about 1.5"x1.5" with my name and his address so they chose that one to ship to.

at least the guy was nice and contacted me. he could have just kept it or shipped it back.

All Fedex overnight runs through their Memphis hub, all their ground delivery runs through their ground hubs (not sure where these are, but obviously yours went through KC).

8 days is a long time, but it's not like they were going to drive it directly to your door.

Oh i totally understand that what makes no sense is that i can look up as shown in the last pic. If i shipped out today from same shipping location on the slowest shipment it would still beat their current shipment by a day. So it makes no sense.
