This is so unncessary about that Conn. elementary school shooting...I can't believe this is happening. I feel so sorry and grief for the one's that lost they're life. Those little children just breaks my heart...and right before Christmas on top of that. So much destroyed forever and for no reason...it's just sad. I just want to go hold my 3 and 5 yr old right now :sobbing:

Godbless the families for this tragic event...I feel the pain even tho I'm not there.

Agreed! I feel so bad for the families of the victims. I don't have kids but I cannot imagine loosing anyone like that. I hope they find their peace eventually.

We live in a royally screwed up world. That is all i have to say.

My prayers go out to all the suffering families!

My brother lives in CT. This scared me to death til I got word from my brother that my nephew doesn't go to that school.

I don't have words for this, just prayers for all those families.

This hits me hard. My wife is a kindergarten teacher and both my little boys are in daycare at the school with her. The deaths of these children is horrible. I hope there is a special place in hell for that piece of sh#t.

Just wrote this for something later on. Feel free to share it if it helps.

Today I will not speak of the rage, or the tragedy that we have all felt and seen by now. Instead let me speak of this. Pray for all involved. To come to that point of actions shows a loss somewhere in life that should have not shaped someone the way it did. Pray for ourselves and those we love as well as those we don't even know. For that is the lesson Man has forgotten of late. That said, there is a lesson is hidden here. Don't just Pray but also take every moment as precious and unique, for that moment may come to never pass again. Tell those you love if they are not nearby that indeed, you do love them. As for those you love that are close by, take them into your arms and let the words become unnecessary.

May God have mercy on all our souls.

Well said.

Disgusting. This horrific event has touched the hearts of people all over the world. I have been listening to the radio, people from every country are calling in, crying, shocked, disgusted. Tiny private island resorts I have stayed at in Fiji (half way around the world with barely any internet) have posted their sorrow about the situation in CT. Who the he!! targets kids?! The grief I have is equally matched by the anger I have for this situation. May God NOT have mercy on this piece of trash soul.

This is such a terrible story to hear. What kind of scum takes out anger by killing innocent children?

My prayers go out to the families of the victims.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims. As a parent I cannot think of anything more horrifying. Now we get to hear from all the 'experts' how this p.o.s. did it because mommy didn't pay enough attention to him when he was 6... Just know evil exists.

X2 Evil does exist. I was really hoping when I first heard of this that the shooter was still alive. That way we could make an example of him. My personal thoughts would be to go old school and have him tied to a stake in public so that anybody who cares to may go and stone him, hit him, burn him whatever you like as long as you dont kill him so that he can then be transported to other towns so the same thing can happen over and over again. I would feel a lot better about the taxes I pay if I knew it would contribute to something like that. If you can not tell I am very angry and sad. I have 3 children and my heart goes out to the families of the victims. I will be saying lots of prayers.

Tragedy in CT

This was a horrible tragedy and as the events unfolded, I felt similar emotions as I felt on 9-11-01, Columbine and the VA Tech murders......but it was different because it was all little kids and there were so many of them.

We sane people try to make sense of this, ask "Why?" and think about what kind of evil would possess someone to do something like this, how it could have been stopped or where the next such attack might occur. There just is no answer.

Worse yet, political opportunists are circling like vultures and seek to find some way of advancing an anti-gun agenda or pushing "emergency" legislation through Congress before the bodies are cold. This is just sick, all the way around.

I could go on long rant right now, but I just won't. I know others will and I have read just about any kind of anti-gun post imaginable on Facebook already today. I just hang my head in sorrow - as nothing else really seems appropriate right now.

What I dont get, whats sad, is that ONE crazy guy kills 26 people with a gun, now everyone wants to bann guns, yet Illegal immigrants, kill on average 12 people EVERYDAY, yet nothing is done to the Illegals...
The same people that want guns banned, say its ok, that Illegal immigrants to come here and live ILLEGALY, I dont get it, Illegals kills 12 Americans EVERYDAY, and thats ok ?????

Illegal aliens murder 12 Americans daily

I think that Morgan Freeman said it best:

"TURN OFF THE NEWS.......You want to know why. This may sound cynical, but here's why.

It's because of the way the media reports it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single *victim* of Columbine? Disturbed people who would otherwise just off themselves in their basements see the news and want to top it by doing something worse, and going out in a memorable way. Why a grade school? Why children? Because he'll be remembered as a horrible monster, instead of a sad nobody.

CNN's article says that if the body count "holds up", this will rank as the second deadliest shooting behind Virginia Tech, as if statistics somehow make one shooting worse than another. Then they post a video interview of third-graders for all the details of what they saw and heard while the shootings were happening. Fox News has plastered the killer's face on all their reports for hours. Any articles or news stories yet that focus on the victims and ignore the killer's identity? None that I've seen yet. Because they don't sell. So congratulations, sensationalist media, you've just lit the fire for someone to top this and knock off a day care center or a maternity ward next.

You can help by forgetting you ever read this man's name, and remembering the name of at least one victim. You can help by donating to mental health research instead of pointing to gun control as the problem. You can help by turning off the news."

I have taken what he said to heat and rather than focusing on the shooter, the cause, and all the other BS the media feeds us, I have remembered and prayed for Emilie Parker: 6 and her family.
