What is your alcoholic beverage of choice?

Jack&Coke at the end of the day.
And any Weiss beer!!!!! on the weekend.

Jack makes the best whiskey and the Germans make the best beer. Nuff said.

Used to really like Fat Tire and Heinekens. Or just plain ol Coors Light. The occassional Spiced Morgans & Dr Pepper or a Mai Tai if I'm in the mood for flowers in my hair (the ones they make at the Bitter Creek in Boise are great), but alas no more alcohol for me. Can't handle the sugar.

MY FAVORITE HOMEBREW I'VE MADE???

Well, I made a clone of their Ruination Ale IPA, and it came out real close, the alcohol level came out at 7% though, but it was still awesome!!! Other than that I would rate my Huckleberry Hef next on the list, I picked and put in 5lbs of hucks... Then 2nd would be Hot Damn Juanita... I made a pepper beer with one Hab, and 3 Jalepeno's for the 5gal batch, gotta like hot stuff for that one but it came out awesome, not a scorcher but had the taste!!!

Your Huckleberry Hef reminds me of a Blueberry Lambic that my friend and I made. This was way back when I worked for Jamba Juice and I ordered a big box of blueberries for pretty cheap. It turned out really sour.......but as it turns out, that is how most true lambics are. I actually really liked it and my friend didn't so I got the whole batch.

I have got to try to make that Hot Damn Juanita. I love spicy stuff, so that is right up my alley. I think I will add a couple more habeneros, though. What type of beer was it other than just one with peppers? And I assume the peppers were raw, not pickled or cooked?

The whole recipe I pulled outta my ass... I tried making a cheaper kinda pale/amber ale, that way if it bombed, I wouldn't be out much, but it came out killer.... I write alot of my beers down as I brew, so if they come out good I can duplicate... Here's the "extract ingredient list"

7lbs light malt syrup
1lb light dry malt (unhopped) powder
1 1/4 oz 4.1% Tettnanger hops (boil)
3/4 oz " " " " " (finishing) (last 3 minutes)
1/2 tsp Irish moss (45min)
Pasteur Champagne active dry wine yeast
1 habanero
2 jalepenos'

Bring to boil. Take off heat and add syrup & powder. Bring back to boil, add boil hops(boil 60 minutes), then after 15minutes of boil add Irish moss. Add finishing hops for last 3 minutes of boil. Add hot wort to 2 gallons of cold water in carboy. Wait until below 78degrees. Mix yeast in 1/4cup of 95degree water until disolved. Ferment below 70degrees. When done fermenting... Steep 1 sliced raw Habanero, and 2 large sliced Jalepeno's in about 4 cups of 150degree water for 45 minutes. Strain out pepper remains, poor pepper liquid into new carboy or keg with the beer. Ready to carbonate, or add the 3/4 cups corn sugar and bottle as usual.

Maybe one more Jalepeno.... I was going to use more, but I found pepper goes along way in beer. Also the research I did on chili cerveza's before I tried this one, said that adding the peppers during fermentation can give kind of a green veggie taste. Doing it this way you can sample the brew (warm and flat unless you keg it), and add more peppers if needed.

homebrew beers or schlaflys. most all microbrew beers is excellent . beats that mass produced water they pass off as beer

Beer : newcastle & sam adams

Liqour: Adios muthaf@#$s aka AMF's.

Off the topic, I don't know about everyone else, but when I mix beer & alcohol, the hangovers are hell. I wake up looking like my avatar.

How's this for a resurrection?
I figured it's the Holidays and if your family is like mine, well... let's just say there's a few of us who like to knock a few back before we have to deal with some of the cousins and the in-laws, LOL! I'm not a big drinker most of the time, but Christmas brings out the best in me, haha.

Beer: Newcastle or Bass Ale

The hard stuff: Single malt scotch whiskey on the rocks, The Glenlivet.

Nice. Over six years old.

Being the college student I am I would say Bud Light or Busch Light for beer. Evan or Jack for whiskey.

6 years old... Not bad...

Beer: Blue Moon

Wine: bourgogne, Beaujolais Nouveau in season

Scotch: Bushmills single malt, 16 years old

Vodka: Russian Standard Platinum

Or just about anything if its free :D

Beer: Sierra Nevada (Just about all their products), Guiness, Pabst, Anchor Steam, Lagunitas

Liquor: Jameson, I don't drink much hard alcohol.

I ONLY DRINK ONE THING AND ONE THING ONLY, WHISKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SCOTCH ,SCOTCH ,SCOTCH, WHISKEY WHISKEY WHISKEY, BOURBON,BOURBON,BOURBON !!!!!!
:bluejump:

beer tastes like piss ,wine tastes like rank cool-aid and other liquors have no real kick/smoothness WHISKEY!

I used to be a micro brew beer nut, but I'm getting old and the hops bothers my stomach.

However, I'm OK with almost everything else aside for whiskey and scotch (sucks!!)..

My standby Grand Mariner on the rocks (unless I have the coin for 100 year as it is simply delightful)
Tequila - 1921 (worth looking for)
Martini - Blue Coat Gin

beer: Blue moon, Hornsby crisp apple cider, fat tire, dos XX
alcohol: nemiroff honey pepper, patron, jack and coke! black russians, crown royal black!

Hmmm...drinkers...more drinkers...more liver disease...more stomach ulcers...more hospital visits...hmmmmmmm...more money to modify my truck.......KEEP DRINKING.........big boat in front of my yard soon.....

:D

Not getting a dime from me... Never even had a sip of an alcoholic beverage. Ever.

That's because you can't find alcohol in Utah! Seriously, that's good you haven't ever had alcohol, no one ever died early because they didn't drink enough, haha. Although, about 25 years ago, the doctor did tell my Grandma to have a glass of wine every night with dinner for her heart. She's 95 now, so it definitely didn't hurt!

You do have a point, although I know the state has relaxed many of the liquor laws in the past 12 months.
