I am considering the Bilstein 5100/ Daystar 1.5 rear spacer kit lift for my 2006 V8 Ltd. The XREAS are too soft and I am bouncing all over the place. The air bag has already been removed and replaced with rear coils. However, when I measure the rake now, my rear fenders seem to have about 6" of clearance from the top of the tire and the fronts have about 2.5" of clearance.
I am thinking that the Daystar rear kit, is not going to be needed and I will still have a slight rake with the Bilsteins set at maximum lift.
Is this clearance more than typical on a 4Runner with factory coils?
I am also considering using wheel spacers for a more aggressive look. I found some 2" thick TRD hub centric ones made of Forged 6061 T6 Grade Aluminum on Ebay. Any comments about these?
