Do the RCI full skids in aluminum affect mpg?

We have never done any official testing on this but I have heard from dozens of customers that their fuel economy was similar or better after installing the aluminum skids. Because of the improved aerodynamics under the truck it should at least be similar.

I also have an RCI plate and it looks just like the one in the photo above--all scarfed up from smacking rocks. The RCI KDSS plate hangs down lower than the stock plate, which pretty much required me to add the Daystar spacer kit to get more ground clearance in the front. Now I have 10" of clearance and am not hitting as many rocks. Love the RCI plate!

Just curious -- where are you measuring ground clearance? Lowest point on the skid plate?
