What mods should I do to my truck?!?!

I have a 2000 black 4runner. I want to do so many things but I don't have enough money. I would really like to get a pair of Sequoia rims and paint them black. I also wanna get a 3 inch lift. Any ideas on how to start? please help me out because I'm new at this. Thanks guys.

Are you wanting to make the exterior look good? The Sequoia wheels would look nice and a good start.Maybe clear corners/bumper lens if you like that look.Are you planning on going offroad? You should decide if you want your mods to be for show or to be more functional.
Take a look on the forum at other Runner's and get an idea of what people do and what you like

Some good mods to start off with are LED tail lights, deckplate mod, a nice bugshield, rain guards, remove running boards, stuff like that. But yeah, it really depends on what direction you want to go.

I mean I want the option of off roading but I just got my license so I need the truck to go to school. I want it to look sick so thats why I would would pick up a pair of Sequia rims and power coat them black. And I would only get a leveling kit because I am not making that much money at my job right now.

Well remember once you get the rims you have to get some tires to go with them to make them look sick.

My best bet save up. Read the fourms and learn the correct way to do it the first time and then spend the money you saved and do it right.

Well the tires are going bald so I have to replace them anyway. I was looking at the these ones. Check them out and tell me what you think. BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO. The link wouldn't paste, sorry.

Dude, we are in the same boat. I have 96 Blk limited. I got my Sequoia rims for $100 (4) They (3) are already primed and ready to get black paint w/red stripe i still have too send one down and prepare it for painting. I Hoping to get my lift and some nice tires before middle February. Dono wat kinna lift i should get though but know i going with 3''. I like those toyotec lifts buy they are krazy expensive + have 2 get then installed. let me know what you decide for a lift.

Get some different wheels. Too many people are getting them now.

Do you want to lift? If so then don't buy tires yet.

If you think toytec is expensive you might as well find another hobby. Toytec is probably the most reasonably priced company out there for toyotas. You could get a lift shipped to your door for 7-800 and then just get a buddie and some basic tools and do the install in your driveway one saturday.

Its hard to decide isn't it! i was going to do a leveling kit. like the ones that they have on Rough Country.com. My buddy has a lift so he said he would install it for me. Whered you get the rims?
