What psi do you see from your Supercharger?

Some of you may have seen my post about my gauge (autometer phantom series) only reading 5psi of boost from my trd supercharger. (tried 2 other gauges as well) I was told to check the belt tension and that the bypass valve isnt leaking.

I havent had a chance to do that (planned this weekend) but after doing some reading, I am wondering if I am in the normal range as it is.

I have read that the factory psi is 6-7.

Usually your gauge will read around .5 less than what is actually being produced in the manifold. (dont ask me why, thats just what I have read)

I am also at 2500 ft elevation and read that you will loose .5 psi for every 1000 feet above sea level.

So according to those 2 statements, I am somewhere between 6.5-7 psi at sea level from the charger which is normal.

Just wondering what you guys see and what your elevation etc is. Also, if you have an upgraded pulley, what do you see? I plan to get the 2.2 pulley from URD in the next couple weeks but want to make sure everything else is working properly.

For some reason mine varies a lot depending on the gear and if its full throttle or just normal accelerating to high speed, when I'm full throttle used to see about 6 and now on the urd 2.2 I get about 8 but I'm sure there if a leak behind my boost gauge cause once it reaches max boost it starts dropping, I took it off one time to replace the lightbulb and the boost line didn't go back in all the way. Btw I'm at sea level.
 
Im at sea level, and at normal WOT it's around 8 PSI. I have seen it as high as 10 before though

Oh ok well yeah thats about the normal, I used to get only 5 with the stock pulley but I had tons of belt slip, but now I rebuilt it.my SC and put ceramic ball bearings and also the 2.2 I get about 8 but it feels like I actually have power now unlike before with the belt slipping and stock pulley it felt.like it was just sucking energy instead of giving power

Mine feels like it has plenty more power as it is lol. Im running e rated 265/70/17 toyo mt's and it will still spin em on dry ground. Before on my nearly bald p rated 265/70/16 michelin ht's, I couldnt even get a chirp out of them.

I plan to get a tension gauge this weekend and make sure its not slipping but at medium to fairly hard throttle i see around 4. then if i stomp it, it goes to 5 but I have never seen it above 5. I am also going to get all new lines for everything on it just to eliminate a vacuum leak.
 
I live Right at sea level. I have data logged 10psi while tuning. (pedal to the floor for extend periods of time)

9 is what I see if I stomp it during normal driving.

Urd 2.2 pulley and 20k miles on my supercharger.

I also use a digital gauge, so my needle is not messed up (don't have one) and the readings match the R4 softwares readings.

What digital gauge do you use?

Ive never chirped my tires from a straight line unless is raining or im turning and I step on it, mine doesnt feel as fast but its quicker than NA 4runner, also im 4wd so idrag and the front axle stuff. Provably a 2wd SC is quicker
Btw I got a 3in lift front and 4 in the back 265/75/16 primewell cheap tires as DD next to come are 33's
 
I see about 7psi normally. I have the 2.2 pulley and live at about 5500 ft above sea level. I do know that the seal in the bypass valve is not the best so i bet i am losing some there.
 
I usually see 6-7 when the intake temperatures are above 70 degrees. When intake temperatures are below 50 I can push 8-9 lbs. I'm on a stock pulley. I'm at sea level.

yeah i know, but that means i used the search function =p

How would I go about checking my bypass valve? would a smoke test through the intake piping work?
 
found answer on youtube =]
push plunger in, cover vacuum inlet with finger, release plunger.
If good, plunger stays in and pops out when release finger.
If bad, plunger pops out with finger still covering the hole.
