i was wondering what size REVOS i should get for my 06 SE, either 265/70/17 or 265/65/17 and why? If you recommend another size that would also be helpful, thanks!

Well if you stick with the original size, then the speedo will be accurate. Otherwise I believe it will be 3 % off? (no biggie) The larger sidewall profile of the two will ride softer and fill the wheel-well space better. The 65

I'd stick with the stock size myself. If you have navigation, you might have some tracking problems. The system does have a calibration, but I'm not sure if it is capable of compensating for a 3% difference.

Personally, I like the fact that the stock size REVO is wider (and looks wider) than the 70 series version. Just that reason alone is enough to make me stick with the 65 series tire.

I went up to 70 series Revo, fill's wheel well nice and look's a little beefier IMO. I also changed out my spare to the 70 series.

Traded in my stock Donlop's right away and got 50.00 each for the 5 ( $250.00 ) , so that knocked a big chunk off my Revo price & install. Plus II did'nt have to try to sell them.

I'm happy I went with the 70's , I had the same debate and thought's as you do.

I stuck 275/70 16's on my 04 SR5, and LOVE them. NO rubbing or anything, and they fill up the wells great. I do want to get a 2.5" leveling kit installed though

Uh, so on the 06 there are 18" wheels but not on the SE? If 17" wheels then I definitely would upsize one to a 265/70/17. Feels up the wheel well nicely and gives you a modest amount of extra ground clearance. It also will fit in the spare tire area.

I did what Falls did as well. Immediately switch the original tires out and a tire store will give you 50 per tire. Just check beforehand.

As for mileage and such I don't really worry too much. It is a truck and it gets poor gas mileage. However, you do need to be aware of the speedo difference. It is roughly 3 mph or so. Just know that at 42 mph indicated you are going approx. 45 mph.
