What suspension setup would best fit me?

My 5th gen has a winch and bullbar, 285s, a prinsu rack, well let's just say it's about 400 lbs heavier than it should be. I want icon stage 7 but that's an insane amount of money and I don't really need it. I'm thinking about the bilstein OME setup that I see so much on here. What parts would that consist of? I'm thinking of Maybe adding total chaos upper control arms

I had the 6112 with 600lb springs and switched to 650. This is with extra weight only from skids and sliders (300lb total). It is not little, but not like bumper.

The 600 would be too soft for you, knowing you from the OB forum

This brings the question if 650 will suffice or if you will need 700. I'd say try the 650 first since you are far from the desert.

In the rear I run Icon 2.0 non-resi with 1" Eibach springs. Heavier weight will only make it better. No need for heavier duty stuff unless you are crazy heavy or crazy fast. This is plenty heavy duty enough.

I have 1.3/1 lift and don't hit thanks to the much stiffer suspension. I bet yours will 1-1.5 lift will perform WAY better than with a 3/2 spacer lift and the weak stock suspension. Both at speed and in the rocks. It will be in a whole different league, all for 1100-1200$ total.

thisll probably be good enough and will allow me to buy morimoto headlights, today from wheeling i broke a headlight lens. itll pay for my sliders coming next week pay for the skid plates i want and pay for the rear ARB locker and diff breather i want since im not blowing 7 grand on suspension. so bilstein 6112 shocks and 650 lb rear springs, what brand, is it OME? thoughts on total chaos uppper control arms?

Hi guy's i am new to the club and would like your expert advice on the following. I've bought a 1999 toyota Hilux Surf (4 runner).
Everything is original except for the 265x75x16 tires. This is my every day car but i also use it for occasional outlanding (fishing an camping trips).
I would like to add some lift to it because am planning on adding a 270 awning, roofrack and rooftop tent and ofcourse camping gear. Which lift is safe given the original 2 or 3 inch. I read that 3 inch is too much because then you ll have to change more than just the shocks and coils. Thanks in advance.

Bilstein and OME both make quality products. Eibach also just introduced a rear adjustable coilover conversion that might help you dial in the rear ride height with the added weight that you have.
