Well I'm thinking P-milk because you sprayed milkshake out of the radiator all over your engine.

I assume the trans fluid mixed with the coolant. Should be easy to check (just drain some trans fluid) and it would explain the overheating.

If it wasn't P-milkS and instead oil and coolant (and coolant in oil) then you are really F'D

definately engine oil and coolant...hopefully just a bad headgasket...but most likely theres a lot more damage than that. Its pretty well mixed.

Could you spot the source of the "hiss" before you took the cap off? Doesn't look like the milkshake to me. I'm guessing head gasket (best case) warped head (middle of the road) cracked head (worst case.). And hopefully it's head related as opposed to block related.

question for OP how hot was the truck running prior to this, when was the last time you checked your oil. i always check my oil trans and coolant at least once a week just old habits.

I am 95% sure that it is oil and coolant. I have seen the pink milkshake.

The hiss was coming from the cooling trying to get into the overflow. Then I took the radiator cap off with gloves so I could move it again.

I am thinking head gasket as you said Pit and then on the list. Head gasket wouldn't be too terrible.

The only reason I am very upset is because I just towed my other car to where I am moving in PA two days ago. So now I have to tow this one, get the GF to DC for an internship, pick up my work car, and move 400 mi in the next two weeks. Whaaaaaaaaa, I know.

It wasn't running hot at all. Looked at the temp right before it happened. Under five minutes.

I just towed a civic with a car dolley for 750 mi. Could that have just pushed whatever it is over? I guess so...

hmm 750miles towing, maybe it could be the tranny cooler, i would deff drain tranny fluid asap, coolant will F up all sort of seals in there, if the tranny fluid is the same color as the fluid i see in the pic, thne all you have to do it flush out the tranny, flush out the rad, flush out the block, put a new after market cooler on and call it a day.

Yeah know basically nothing about engines. Guess I am going to learn. Since I have another car I can do that. May as well get something out of te situation.

Hopefully it doesn't end up being an engine lift.

You are being positive. I like. But did you look at that color? Doesn't it look oily to you? Not tranny oily either...?

I would swap out tranny with a used one and feel ok about the situation if that is the case.

it deff does not look like pink milk shake if you use toyota coolant, but if the truck has green coolant in it and it mix with the red tranny fluid it produce brown fluid just like that in the picture.

Moving to Newfoundland a little north. But yeah, a hand would be excellent at least to start, if you can get away. Would obviously make it so you don't lose money.

Like I said never delved into an engine before. Not looking forward to starting.

On the positive, at least it happened now rather than on the civic pulling mission.

green coolant + atf = brown non oily liquid
red coolant + atf = pink milkshake with a lotta bubbles
engine oil with with either color coolant = brown liquid with a lotta oil and water separation
