What the what? (new car build and price)

I went to the Toyota web site to look at prices and options for a 2015 4Runner Limited in case I can get the deal I want on a 2014.

When I get to the "Packages" on the build tool nothing seems to make sense. They have an option for -$871 that sounds like mudguards, but never says that. There's a "Limited Grade" option - no idea what that is. The rear seats are listed at $494, but then in the summary they show as $1365.

There are other issues as well. Am I just an idiot, or is this thing broken? Surprising to me that Toyota would have such a sloppy tool on their site.

IT's the 30th anniversary discount that is confusing. They subtract it in the packages section (so you can wind up with a negative package price) but then split it out in the summary section. Better just to go to edmunds.com and select the "build on with options" link to get to the actual itemized options/costs.

Thanks much. I would NEVER have figured that out. The person who owns that configurator tool needs to take another run at it. What's happening is not clear at all.

Edmund's isn't configuring 2015 4Runners yet.
