What this site has cost me!

First off thank you to all of you for helping me spend what discretionary money I have.
I have not been active on a forum in over 12 years when I was a mod on a few bodybuilding forums. They got so out of hand, so i bailed.

Then I find this addictive site.
I don't even have my 4 runner yet and ( because of all of you) have spent a fair amount of money. My stupid "Wish List" on amazon must be 10 pages deep on stuff for my rig. My saved bookmarks include most of the sites you guys have recommend for light bars, bumpers and all the expensive stuff.

I already ordered the Gobi, fender flares, floor mats, lift supports and a bunch of little things.

My wife is busting my balls that I don't even have the 4 Runner yet.

I have already gone threw my gun safes looking for things I can sell for cash to build out my rig. Gunbroker is happy to see me again......

I just wanted to say Thanks...i guess...

There is a flip side to this. Just yesterday I saved $235 on parts for a wheel bearing replacement. Not labor, just parts. Thanks to this site I know exactly what to do and how to do it. There's no telling what the labor would cost at the shop. Welcome to the most fun you can have recycling money!

I've taken advantage of a couple of group buys, and already have a storage box roughly designed. I haven't ordered any big stuff yet, just in case something falls though before I get it (ship sinking, car carrier truck gets stolen, etc.) but that hasn't stopped me spending over $500 so far.

We need to start a support group... ;)
 
It will happen that way. I just pulled the trigger on a new trail premium with KDSS today.:lookout:
 
AutoAnything.com is having a 20% off promotion on over $99 thru 4/9 and they also do a 20% off promotion when you sign up for emails. Saved $66 on a new K&N 63 Series Intake which has some moral victory to it, and 20% off can go a long way on some big purchases! But yes, this site is getting very spendy...
 
I came to this site hoping to find someone that could help me find a first gen 4runner for sale but then I eventually stumbled into the 5th gen section and saw DesertDawg's build.

The only reason I even considered a 5th gen 4runner is because of this site haha
 
Whenever my wife goes shopping and comes home with stuff she always says "Look honey, I got some truck parts" :rolleyes: :twitch:

I also recently went through my safe and picked out some stuff to sell. Hoping to see a Glock 19 transform into a set of Max Trax and some other recovery gear. Maybe a Remington 7600 can turn into some SCS wheels.

If that's possible, maybe JUST MAYBE my Walther PPS (M1) and CVT Mt. Cayley can turn into a CVT Mt. Shasta.

We'll see.

I have to admit I was really upset, in fact, I burst into tears when my husband opened the back of his 4runner and had been hauling hay, and say here's your new car. He traded my pristine car in to buy a pick up tuck and got 15k. I was soon over the tears when I got to shop and "makeover" this poor, neglected, fine beast of a machine. The more research I've done, the more lurking on the boards, the more driving, and looks I get with SyBiL II, the more I realize I am deserving and looking forward to the adventures we can have. Her transformation in only a few weeks turns heads, and I have just started. So thank you gentleman and ladies, we have been reborn here on these boards.

She likes the one I drive now.
2003 BMW X5 - I like it also - a lot, but its time for something new. For sale if anyone wants it. $5500.00 and its yours.
 
Isn't that a little "Cart in front of the Horse" scenario ? I'm still laughing about it, I just got laid off from the Oilfield, so sold My Tundra and bought my 4Runner to carry the dogs, now all I wanna do is spend money on it. lol
 
I just heard from the dealer that the boat docked today....they said 8-12 days before they will get my 4 runner. Long 10+ weeks..
