long story short, my 98 limited v6 4x4 is not worth repairing. body damage to the roof, front end, and drivers side.

i dont know if there is a market for a 98 that is in perfect mech condition with a toatled body.

new transfer case oil
new rear diff oil
new rear springs
installed coil air bags in rear
new rear shecks
new rear wheel bearings and seals (L+R)
generic flowmaster muffler
new rear O2 sensor

im the second owner, previous owner took it to the dealer for all scheduled maintenance.
trans fluid was drained and refilled a few times.
oil changed every 5k

mechanically it is rock solid. trans shifts crisp and does not slip, awd works great, and engine is clean and solid. 202k miles.

i guess i didnt have to say "new" in front of everything but they were all changed with the last year or so.

i dont know if there is a market for this. If someone had clean 4runner with a blown motor or slipping trans or never had any maintenance performed, this would be ideal to swap everything over.

i dont really want to part it out though cause it still runs, drives, starts, shifts, and all that.

You could get a body from a junkyard and swap the whole body over to yours. Sounds a bit overwhelming but it’s really not that bad.

Or turn it into a 100% trail rig.

Or buy another truck and swap your goodies over to it then sell off whatever is left and scrap the rest.

There is a market for this, I'm looking for a parts rig but unfortunately you're too far away & most trucks by me are rusted out. I would pay around $500 for a good parts rig.

I was on my way out and adding photos makes it a little more difficult. I did post the millage though, 202,000 miles.
I just bought a house and have a 7 month old son at home. So my free time has decreased dramatically. I no longer have the time to tackle a job like this.
