What to protect cargo area with?

I know this is probably unusual, but i typed in rubber truck bed mats on Amazon.

Thats not what the previous post was talking about. The previous said he found a BLANKET similar to the Yeti for about $40.

I keep a Harbor Freight Wool Blanket in each vehicle - $12.

60" x 80" Wool Blend Blanket

Let them air out bit. They stink when new. You can put em in a Pillow Case with the end knotted and wash them with wool-lite if the stink really bothers you.

I've used mine multiple times to lay on the snow / mud / wet pavement to get under the truck or kneel on to change a tire.

A wool blanket is handy for keeping warm and even putting out fires.
Also works good for covering items you don't want others to see.

Another option it to combine the wool blanket with a moving blanket like this:

Won't anything from mud to water just absorb into the wool blanket? And sand/dirt get "stuck" in the fibers? Seems like it'd be annoying to keep clean. At least with rubber/canvas you can get it back to clean quite easily. Hmmm

If its from China do you thinks it’s wool? It smells funny too? God only knows what animal’s hair is in that blanket.

Just let it dry then shake it out.

It's not something you need to keep absolutely clean.
