Most people are pieces of shit in this city, don't let the facade fool you! They just want your money...
you will not be able to see everything that you want to see in vegas the first time you go. if you are like me and everyone else that i know that has been to vegas, you will be hooked and just keep going back. the hoover dam is about 30 minutes from vegas but the tour will keep you for a long time. that is very valuable time when you are in vegas. if you have questions, i go about 4 times a year since driving from phoenix is only 5 hours. the flyover bridge at the dam is awesome but isn't finished. it would be cool to see but i wouldn't spend a whole day on a tour. go see the new Aria hotel and its next to the bellagio. a good way to skip walking 7000000 miles in vegas is to find free trams in mandalay bay which goes to aria and bellagio, did i mention these were free? vegas is a great town. i would recommend going to old vegas and seeing the light show. its pretty cool. like i said, i go alot so ask questions if you want to. My favorite thing to do is to take the GIRLS cards from one guy and try and hand them to the next guy passing them out. they look at you really funny if you do that. HAVE A GREAT TRIP.
