What was the first modification (if any) on your 4Runner?

Besides removing the running boards and the stupid-looking(on my car)fender flares, and replacing the springs and shocks with better aftermarket units, I guess it would have been running a pair of fat battery cables form the car's battery, down along the frame rail, and up into the cabin under the driver's seat. Allows for occasional connection of the second battery inside.

So how do you plastidip the badges? Mine are Chrome, but black would be better. Did you over spray it and peal it off the paint?

I put the wheels off of my 1st gen onto it.

Went from these chrome bad boys with some actually very nice Michellin highway tires...

To these. Same wheel, not chrome, with 265/75/16 Open Country AT's

Some other mods later

Last week replaced the 5spoke star rims and tires with Sequoia wheels and new Michelin latitude tour tires. Have the 4Runner rims and tires for sale in the classified section.

Yup check out my so called build in my signature. Anyhow tape off the area then use a toothpick to "cut/roll" the inside of the letters and badge. It peels off the outside edge fine it's the inside that's a little tricky.
