What was the most fun time you've had in your runner or when did it save your &$$?

Thought it might make for some fun reading to hear stories of great times in the runners.
I haven't had mine in any really fun stuff yet, but so far have really loved romping around through some fairly deep snow.

My 4Runner hasn't been through any gnarly stuff, or gone on a month long overland trip through beautiful terrain. My 4Runner just consistently impresses me in the more mundane ways.

It impressed me when we moved from the suburbs of Kansas City to Chicago. The amount of cargo storage and the fuel economy was amazing. It also towed our Seadoo Speedster 150 well.

It impressed me on the two trips we have made from Chicago to West Virginia to visit family. I can fold the rear seats down and put our large kennel in the back which holds our two dogs, along with more room for our bags.

It impressed me in the last two winters here in Chicago when the white stuff hit (even on stock Dueler's) it hasn't missed a beat.

I'm sure you'll get better stories but the day to day usefullness and reliability is amazing. This is my first Toyota but not my last...

In my younger (dumber) college days, my roommate and I took my trusty '87 open diffs, regular AT tired 4runner up one of the most difficult trails in Colorado. When we got to the top of the trail, 3 jeeps that were purpose built (probably $150k worth) came in right behind us and said "how the hell did you ever get that thing up here?" :driving:

Went to sand dunes recently and pulled out a Jeep. No photo, but also helped a Raptor who was dug in on a small dune. I'm mad at my son for not getting a photo of that one.

They did not like being pulled out by some mid size SUV. The Jeep thanked me, the Raptor just took off.

Well to be honest with both of your scenarios...involved sex!!

Driving type stuff...without a question when people say "How did you get here???!! My reply is the same..."Helicopter".

Save my ass....not really...just goes a lot a places my other rigs can't or I wont take them.

I figured it would be a while before I had anything to contribute to this thread, but yesterday turned out to be noteworthy after all.
If you want to guarantee a blizzard in central New York the best thing you can do is plan a big party, especially when your house is at the top of a pretty steep hill.
Well yesterday we went to a party at my wife's bosses house. These people know how to party. One of my wife's coworkers is married to a professional pyrotechnic. He always brings a ton of fireworks to these things and puts on a great show.
Well with all the snow that we got yesterday his 1 ton Ram couldn't bring the trailer full of fireworks up the driveway. Half way up he lost traction and slid backwards, jackknifing the trailer and damaging his truck.
The owner of the house took his 1 ton dually dumptruck down to pull him up. He lost traction too and ended up sliding backwards into the front of said Ram. Good times for sure.
Anyway, we unhooked the trailer and dragged it down the driveway with a bobcat. The Ram backed down followed by the dump truck.
The dumptruck driver asked me if my runner had a locker and if it would tow the trailer up. Honestly, with the slippery condition of the driveway I wasn't sure. I gave it a shot though.
4lo, rear locked and A-Trac on. Crawled up in 2nd gear and made it. I was definitely impressed my my runner and when I got out the dumptruck driver yelled "4Runner for the win!" Hahaha.
Good times.
Then when we were leaving last night I got to pull one of my buddies out of a snowbank that he'd inadvertently parked his suv too far in and was good and stuck.
All in all great night for the runner.
