What was your first major mod and why?

I had a 3rd gen when I bought my 4th gen so I swapped the 2012 FJ wheels with 265/70/17 AT tires over, then the Kenwood cd/dvd/ipod/bluetooth head unit was swapped over and the sub/amp wired up. LEDs on the inside, HFC delete, I have Weather Tech liners on order, and the daystar budget boost waiting to get installed. That's all simple easy stuff, I plan on doing a real lift and 285s in the future but my kitchen needs upgrades more than the 4runner right now so that will happen this summer.

first thing I got was HIDs for the low beams & fogs. suspension lift was almost immediately after that

FJ coil swap and spacers will be my first... I've had them sitting around for so damn long, haven't thrown 'em on yet, lol.. Unless 265/70's, plastidip, LED interior lights, or VSC disable switch (in that order) count.

Sequoia split spokes because the stock sport wheels just didn't do it for me and they were pealing.

Tires/wheels and rack. So it wouldn't look like a run of the mill grocery getter like most of the other 4runners on the road

First thing I did was order OEM LED tail lights. I couldn't stand looking at those tail lights. Easy/major mod. Major as in purchase, b/c they cost $300+. My retrofits were more expensive than that, but came much later..........

After that, I started researching installing an OEM NAV............. and on, and on, and on.................... and freeking on........

still not done.
