What was your first mod?

I think it was about $50 or $60. It was well worth it. It would especially be worth it if you have to park outside in the sun. I work out of my house so it is always in the garage, but while I am out it is nice to have. Plus it just looks cool on black.
what percentage did you use to match? 15%?

I think it was about 35%. The galss already has a little bit of tint in it, but it still looks clear. I actually just told them to match it and assumed it was 35% since that is the legal limit for the front windows in Alabama.

I also had my front windows tinted to match for my first mod... I also had them add a 6" limo tint eyebrow across the windshield to further reduce daytime glare and darken the rear tailgate glass to eliminate headlight glare at night. My previous SUVs (99 Grand Cherokee and 02 Envoy) had much darker glass than the stock Toyota privacy glass, and this really helped a lot.

heres my first mod:

wait actually it was the license plate frame. okay, then this was my second...

1. Amsoil Air Filter
2. Scion Radio Swap
3. Fake TRD Carbon Fiber License Plate cover
4. Debadge, placed Hilux Surf Emblems on
5. Xenon Light swap (interior)
6. Exhaust Tip

Mine was the tint in the front to match. I was home sick the day after I brought it home; so what better then to get your windows tinted. A neighbours brother does this for a living, he is a mobile service that comes right to your house. I got the 40$ good neighbour discount and he did a great job!

First mod...

I plugged in my hour meter right at the dealership before I cranked it over. It's more a curiousity thing but some mods are. I get actual engine run time to track at maintenance intervals.

I'm still waiting for part i ordered to add Daytime Running Lights. The part is going to arrive tomorrow so maybe I should have wait 2 more days with posting here :bouncy2:
We'll see where I go from there. No big plans but because I check this forum every day i'm sure of one thing. DRL won't be my last mode :D

What type of part did you have to order to add DRL? I have been wondering what would have to be done to add them, as well as cost.

I want to add that when You order this part (TURN SIGNAL flasher, 4-Runner, w/DRL 2003 $40.58 $31.65 Electrical - Chassis electrical - flashers - Turn signal flasher ) from Partznet.com You will wait for it for about 2 weeks. I don't know why they take so long to ship it. I wrote an e-mail to them week after order date and I didn't get anything back form them. However, 2 days ago ups sent my tracking number so now i know I will be getting it tomorrow :) So just be patient.....:D

De-Badge

I did a complete debadge on my black limeted this weekend except the front and back toyota emblems. Let me tell you what a difference. Much cleaner look, less to wax around. I hated all the chrome lettering from day 1 on the black. Now maybe get black pearl emblesm for the front and rear the toyota symbols.
