What was your first mod?

I did a complete debadge on my black limeted this weekend except the front and back toyota emblems. Let me tell you what a difference. Much cleaner look, less to wax around. I hated all the chrome lettering from day 1 on the black. Now maybe get black pearl emblesm for the front and rear the toyota symbols.

Black pearl emblems.. hmm.. what is that? I think I have an idea as what they would look like... if so.. that would look really nice

Saw them on brandsport.com... that would look really nice. Is there anywhere that sells the kind for the 04's.. like.. in the font that 04 uses? On that site they only went up to 02. I like the newer lettering or whatever better. :-)

Badges

Black pearl is like a greyish emblem with a shine of luster, all I can say is i have gotten so many compliments about the clean look of the truck without the badges.

first mod was tinting all windows (much darker now) unfortunately i live in ca so tinting the driver and pass windows as dark was not an option. so i tinted them the lightest. (way better).

next mod is on its way - scion hu (got to love ebay for that one), then hardwiring radar detector.:D

First mod was a front brush guard and rear bumper guard. Two months later I took them off and sold them.

2nd mod was my supercharger, pretty much spent my mod cash on it, so far I've done small stuff like huskies, daystar lift, and maglite mod

Hey All!

I'm new here, just picked up a new SR5 Galactic Gray last Saturday! I've enjoyed looking at this board and getting some idea of what I'd like to do with my truck.

My first mods are going on tomorrow:

1. Factory spoiler (mine was not shipped with one)
2. Tinted windows on the front.
---
The following are in the mail as I type:

3. Valor exhast tip
4. Homelink console replacement
---

Future mods:

Sport Bumper trim and/or grill trim
Silver boards and roof rack?

Cheers! :D

go with that logic, then what about dealer installed stuff? like wheel locks, floor mats, etc.. would those be considered mods?

either way, i don't really consider tint a mod.. not like i consider lifts/drops, rims, etc. to be mods.. bug deflectors and clear bras aren't even really mods, imo..

5. Door sill plates from burtmanindustries.com

next is tint ;)

Does anyone have pics of a silver 4th gen completely debadged? I've been trying to decide if I wanna do that or not ;)

Why would you want to debadge? unless you don't want people knowing that you have a 4runner sport edition...

because it looks REALLY clean on the black 4runners....I was curious as to what it'd look like on the silver...i'll photoshop it and see

but I agree...one of the reasons I havent done it is because i WANT people to know its a 4wd sport ;)

There was a debadged 4Runner at the grocery store the other day....really looked different. Not sure if I liked it or not. Figured I will keep the badges on mine.
