cooled seats, extra unassigned accessory switches from the factory (like a full size ford), front locker, 4.10 gears and a 6 speed box, cooler leather options, trim pieces that aren't so prone to scratching.

...but that's nit picking, its pretty damn good the way it is.

I would like to have an illuminated dash light dimmer control, since that is the one thing that I am always having to adjust as conditions change and it is the one thing that is not lighted at night.

They did- my father-in-law drives a '13 TE and was immensely jealous of the fact that my '14 came without a sunroof. I completely agree, btw. It's something I'll use twice a year that adds weight and can either break, leak, or both. No thanks.

That footwell near the rear of the vehicle, like the X-terra,to get up to reach stuff on top of roof. A better or bigger rear windshield wiper. BETTER quality seat cushion. after 20,000 miles, they started to sag. I am only 170lbs. Toyota really piss me off on this one.

Wow. This thread really makes me miss my xterra... 6 speed manual, rear bumper steps, UNPAINTED bumpers, useless roof basket, plastic cargo area, etc etc...

But I do love my 4runner. I don't think I could go back.

I'd love to have the front and rear Dana 44s with lockers and electronic swaybar disconnect from the Rubicon.
And:

-a swing out tire carrier

-a removable top

-a higher intake for water crossings

Basically, I want a Jeep With toyota quality.

I think I would prefer the older truck like tailgate rather than the liftgate. When hauling stuff from the local home center or lumber yard and it sticks out the back, it's a lot easier to manage with a tailgate up and the window down than with the liftgate

Yep. It's also a good make-shift table for getting equipment ready. Etc. Went hunting in my friends old Bronco this past weekend and really appreciated that feature.

That's what I use my slide out tray (you know, the one people hate?) for. It is great for stuff like that.
