Slightly off topic, but isn't it interesting that Toyota is offering a silly 4 cylinder with only 157 HP or a V6 with 270 HP for the 2010 T4R? I guess Toyota is doing away with the V8 Option.

Also, Toyota is now offerieng 20" wheels for the Sports Edition. Those are huge.

I think this would be my most likely switch too. I would love to see the Jeep brand break off and start kicking a$$ again. There are some big ifs with the GC though, mainly reliability. And fuel economy always seems to trail the classes with Jeep SUVs. Right now you couldn't replace my Runner with anything on the market though. So congrats to the ghost of Toyota Past!

The 2011 Grand looks good. Interior looks amazing. Having owned all generations of Grands, including most recent gen with a Hemi, they need to build one that has a good transmission and axles that dont whine. All of my Grands had axles rebuilt. The 06 had them both rebuilt at 7500 only to howl again in 8000 miles.

This was my Hemi 06 with Revos and Commander wheels

Traded for:

which has been dumped for 06 BMW CPO with 24K plus 00 4Runner 4wd with 96K. Meh, best of both worlds, to me.

IIRC the V8 4runner is quicker than the hemi jeep.

I drove a normal v8 GC a couple weeks ago - left a lot to be desired in almost every dept.

There is no way a 4Runner 4.7 V8 is faster than a 5.7 WK Grand Cherokee. 5.7 is 330HP and a much lighter unibody than the ladder frame 4Runner. I test drove 4.7 4Runners when I bought my 08. It wasnt anything I would consider "fast" That Jeep was fast, so was the WJ seriers Overland I had with the 4.7 HO. (for an SUV, mind you)

Agreed.

I did extensive testing when I purchased mine and also later on as new vehicles came out. The JGC with the 5.7 Hemi V8 was much quicker than my V8 power 4Runner. :cry2:

And since the upcoming model will be able to be lowered to less than 7" or raised to over 11", it should have awesome on and offroad handling and (hopefully) performance.

I think the 2011 Grand is superb looking, in and out. My 06 had a very cheap interior. That has been addressed on the '11. I would never buy a first run Chrysler product. Wait a couple yrs to see if its the same ole same ole. Chrycos service dept SUCKS. I had to FIGHT for everything. To them, whining axles are "normal". The 09-10 WK series 5.7 is bumped up to 380HP and that will carry over on the WK 2nd gen.

Tacomas don't have enough muscle though....I'd go for the Tundra.

I love my baby, I think the new ones look awful, I saw one in person and was like ugh, seriously? The only other thing I want to drive is a Kawasaki Ninja 600R in that beautiful Kawi Blue...

So for SUV, I will keep Rascal and patiently wait for my bank account to allow me to purchase her younger sister for more fun.
