I need to replace front rotors on my rig. I already have brake pads I choose akebono ceramics, I have always had very good experience with them highly recommend them to anyone. I did tundra bbk calibers two years ago but cheap out for very very cheap Chinese made special. So that's why gotta change rotors now. My very good buddy works at advance and gave me a price on front brembo's non drilled or slotted for 180 everything included brand new. Should pull the trigger on brembos or look for other brand? Thanks

I picked up my Tundra Brembo "blank" rotors for $120 shipped (for the pair) on Amazon.
But to help answer your question...I always ran Brembo blanks on my CRX, even with some aggressive track pads, and I've never had anything to complain about with them.

I've used Brembos on my old race car (also a Honda) and I thought they held up really well. I used some pretty aggressive brake pads (many sets) and they got a lot of heat cycling and never warped.
In terms of reputation, I think they're pretty widely regarded as a legit brand. I would definitely trust them over Napa or the like. For $120, I would go that route.

We run a pair of Brembo blanks on my wife's car. It was a very nice upgrade. They will rust a little but I'm not complaining about them. They work great.

ive run a few sets of brembo brakes on my fbodies with pretty good sucess.
I know brembo is very well known very good brand. My concern is of course rusting and warping, rusting not as much its a rotor its going to happen but warping is big for me. The thing is this is auto part store not from brembo. I fear that box is going to say brembo but is it really brembo made product or cheap Taiwan made boxed brembo (example like beck and arnley reboxed parts). 180 is finale price, tax included and free shipping. I would rather go all oem be safe side but never had brembos willing try them out.

I've run brembo performance cross-drilled and slotted rotors with a performance pad (can't rem name) for last 5 years.
No problems so far and stops great.

Had Brembos on my Tundra,ended up buying Autozones or Pep Boys after warping a set. I'd expect the cheap ones to warp in 10k miles or so,not Brembos.
I'm not sure about the 4Runner ones,but the Tundra Brembos are made in Mexico :nono: When I finally do my brake upgrade I'll probably use parts store ones or EBC since I've had luck with those on my parents' GX470 (same brakes as 4G T4R's with the big brake package)

just bought a set of Tundra Brembo OEM rotors from Amazon for about $50 each based on BigFishallday's Tundra brake upgrade thread. Haven't installed them yet, but they seem nice. Everything rusts where I live so I don't care about that. I echo the sentiment of Toyota OEM or aftermarket OEM. Brembos came up specifically for that on the search-

I came to the same cross roads myself. Thought about just getting new rotors but after doing some research seems like every 4runner rotor no matter the brand has and will warp. Seems like it just comes down to the whole system is too small for the truck.
231 is the way to go.

just for laugh and giggles I will find out how much fronts rotor set will cost me from my local Toyota guy he usually gives pretty good price on parts, and c which one is cheapest route.
Ps I have already done the tundra bbk. I choose the 231mm from an 06 tundra sr5. When I did the upgrade I cheaped out with white box rotors, god knows where there mad maybe Taiwan lol. This time around wanna go with lil better name brand rotors that would last me at least two years. Brembo, stop tech, oem, ebc etc
