Whats a good tire size to go with????

Im installing a toytec ultimate lift next week and im trying to figure out what size tires I can get away with. I can get a good deal on some 285/75/16 mickey Thompson mtzs. will they be ok? also I would be going from my 18" limited wheel to a 16" wheel, any for seeable problems there (brake caliper clearance or anything like that)? Thank you guys

micky thompson mtzs are great tires. You should be ok with that size tire and suspension setup, might need to do some trimming and whatnot; also depending on your rims, you may need wheel spacers to clear the UCAs or new UCAs if you don't want to go the wheel spacer route. Won't know for sure until everything is put together.

Make sure you have the size 12W calipers instead of 13W if running 16" rims.

I ordered the light racing UCAs when I ordered the lift. I already have spidertrax 1.5" on there now with my day star leveling kit. im going to have to look into what size clalipers I have. I knew I had heard of people running into problems trying to run 16" wheels. Thanks

Im going to be keeping them for now. If I get a good on/off road tire and decide to sell them I will let you know.

You need to determine if you have the larger brake package as it was optional on Limiteds and will be the deciding factor if you can fit 16" rims. As for the tires, those are pretty good tires, what exactly are you using them for?

75% on road 25% off. I do a lot of trail rides. Even more now that its getting warm outside again. If I put tires on my 18s what would you suggest? like I said before im getting the toytec ult lift and lr ucas.
