lawwailok said:yea, the V8 is flawless... a perfect match with the 5 speed tranny. it is so smooth that you don't even know you are already over the speed limit in a blink of the eye.
i am just curious, will our V8 take FX35? on a roll or from stop? question asked is because i always see a dude driving his FX35 on my way back home, he drives it like he steals it.
once i while i took him on my TL, so just curious if our V8 has the capability to let him eat dust?
RonMAIDEN said:What year is the Infinity? The brand new V8 punches through the 1/4 mile in 13.6@104 which is quicker than the Mustang GT so it would be absolutley killing a low 15 second 4Runner. Even a RAV4 runs a 14.7 along with the new Tundra.
The lesser V6 is rated 280hp and runs in the mid 14s so I wouldn't race the FX no matter what year it is. The FX is more of a car and that's where it would win.
sorry snhrph, you are right , I will play nice now, thought you were talkin trash..............snhrph said:Touchy, touchy... :biggrin2: Lighten up :yesyes:
To respond to your "valid post" - 5-speed will offer a bit of better fuel economy, and will be a little faster of the line than a 4-speed.
V8 will offer a better of the line performance than V6, but it will cost you some MPGs.![]()
You gotta play nice in the sand box if you want to make friends
Oh, yeah, the name is snhrph, not snrph as you wrote... Must be quick fingers:

Personally, I love beating V8 BMW X5's and 3 series that think their hot shit.
My favorite is racing little guido kids in their 4banger civics with 8" diameter exhausts.

Thinkin about goin with an 8 but I will ask as I did in my other thread. what is the difference in the mpg's
maybe some owners can chime in and let me/us get a good comparison. if you are nice enough to do so maybe you could let us know you driving style and if it's more highway/ or city.
thanks

Im also surprised I have not broken the wheels loose yet...it just amazes me.
