Whats the Aux Plugin for in the Centre Arm Rest Console

I have a 2006 4Runner Sport and I was just looking in the center console area (under the arm rest front seat) and just noticed an Aux plug in there in the bottom corner closest to the passenger. I was wondering if anyone knew what this is used for or its purpose?

It's to run an iPod or other mp3 player through your factory audio system. You need a male to male stereo cable, and hit the "disc-aux" button on your headunit. Good luck!

That is so you can connect an MP3 player to your stereo. You just need to purchase a cord with 2 male ends to connect your MP3 player to the aux input.
