What's the current consensus on the best 199mm caliper for the TBU?

I am about to do the Tundra brake upgrade on my '01. While I plan on running all OEM parts, I cannot afford OEM calipers so I am going aftermarket. There are so many options out there. What is the current consensus on the best aftermarket 199mm tundra caliper?

At the moment, yes. Everything else is taken care of and the brake fade is driving me nuts. Perhaps I need to save up a bit longer. $900 for brake parts seem crazy to me!

$900 is crazy, especially since most calipers you'll find are just remanufactured OEM ones with new seals and pistons.

I recommend getting the PowerStop calipers off Rockauto.com. They are good quality, last and are reman'd OEM calipers. I think they come in Silver or Red. I went with Red, duh.

I got Napa reman's. Mainly because they were painted black and have a warranty. As far as I can tell the quality looks good.

Haven't had them installed yet.

Most of the aftermarket calipers are simply remanufactured OEM calipers. I went with the powder coated Cardone calipers from rockauto, they're pretty cheap especially if you get lucky like I did and they accept the 4Runner calipers as the core return.

Which calipers did you get? I'm looking to do the same. They have quite a few of those Cardone calipers. Those just as good as the Powerstop or other brands? Thanks.

Found tundra calipers from junkyard for $40 a piece. Rebuilt them and painted them red. Write ups are online. Alot easier than I expected.

NAPA eclipse calipers are Cardone calipers. They are powdercoated black and are usually pretty good and have a decent warranty.
