Whats up with Yotatech?

I posted a comment that was not bad or anything on Yotatech and Bobsr5 a moderator posted a rude comment telling me that the original person was a well respected 4Runner expert and I should not have posted anything. I posted back that it was a forum and there was nothing lewd or derogatory. The bastard banned me and told me to go back to the fag forum. Referring to this one.
Man that pisses me off. I bet he is not so bad ass in person. He feels brave behind his keyboard.

that forum has a lot more knowledge base on 3rd gens and you have to understand useless posting or posts that do not involve searches are going to get thrashed.

They are trying to keep it an idiot free, useless post. Cleaner enviornment over there because of some of the crap that has been said in one persons topic.

They have banned several people from New England for no real reason, there was a period a while ago where they got all ban happy. I have seen those same mods post completely useless info themselves, then ban someone else for doing the same. It doesn't bother me as I tend not to post much.

I have only been critisized once, by one of the memebers that I respect alot. i said something about how much something cost and he nicely pm'd me about it asking me to edit it. i did so with no quarell.

but since were off topic already, i throw somethings out there anyhow

if you get a deal on something or a vendor gives you a price...don't post the deal he gave you. if someone wants to know the price you paid for something, either have them contact the seller or vendor or pm them the price you paid. i feel its bad business to put there prices out on the board if they have not done so. this happened with me buying my tjm. people wanted to know how much i paid for it and there were 3 vendors making me deals. if i put the price that i paid on the board..whether its high or low, the vendor would be stuck with people trying to get it at that price. no need for it

shouldn't make blank statements without an explanation on what you did. by no means am i sticking up for yotatech but that board is referenced here nonstop for maintenance and mods that originated there. thats what the internet is for...information sharing. i just wish people wouldn't just say negative things without stating what they did. if your gonna tell a story, tell it right. gapboi, i hope you do so as theres a big following of yt members here that have read the posts you probably got banned from.

like neliconcept said, they try to keep it as usefull as possible over there and i would assume the mods would try to do the same here as with anything these days...you make money by hits on the net. if this had been posted in the 3rd gen section on YT, it would have been moved nearly instantly. what does it have to do with a 4runner? belongs in off topic!

maybe thats why people get but hurt. when the mods move things to the right section and after you do it a few times, they give you a scoulding because they can and it was justified. how you react says alot about your character.

lets not bash each other or other boards. hopefuly this thread will be deleted/moved and we can keep what following of 3rd gens around this site as well.

every board has its rules, if you dont follow them you get banned.
every board has its strengths, I visit alot of boards, and yes this is one, this diffenatly has some great points, and I will continue coming here, and will contribute where and when I can, (wont be much you guys know your stuff) but yotatech has some great 3rd gen info. Ive learn so much from that place.

On a brighter note, it's snowing in the mountains and ski season's just around the corner!

(BTW, I've never had a problem with anyone at yotatech. Every member is very respectful and helpful--traits that are hard to find at most boards, these days)

There was a post i think it all gone now. Some body had put a long post about what a PITA it was that the power windows only work in the ON position but not ACC. There was a writeup on how to splice or something. I posted a reply" Is is worth cutting and splicing to turn the key one more click to ON?"

The moderator Pm'd me and said "Show some respect newb. The person who started this thread is well respected and very knowledgeable so you should not question him."

I replied back to the moderator and said i didn't feel like I did anything wrong since I didn't have any profanities or vulgaities etc. Also it wasn't like I said the idea was stupid or anything.

He banned me with a PM to go back to the fag TR4 forum.
