What's your winter weather MPGs?

Just curious how cold and snow tend to affect your gas mileage. I typically get 17-18 MPH city, but this week we've had very cold temps (single digits) and snow, so I've been using 4wd more and keeping it in lower gears. When I checked my mileage at fill up today I only got about 12.5 MPG! Just trying to see if this is normal. I know my spark plugs aren't new and I may need to clean my MAF, but none of it is super bad. I'd appreciate some reassurance!

In the city I get 17-19 but highway 20-22mpg numbers aren't exact just estamates from tank to total miles per tank then divided.

The cold will drop it a mile or two, but 4WD will drop it big time. Sounds normal to me.

I don't even want to check my mileage this tank. 135 miles and 1/4 tank left. -20 deg F temps and 1/4 of the miles were through 8 to 12 inches of snow in 4wd most the time was really bad.

I made a similar post this evening. I got ~23mpg BEFORE I base lined in early fall warm SW climate. Driving 750 miles along I-10 ->I-8 in ~40°-60° got about 18mpg! I still have not figured it out. Most of ~70mph cruise control and Chevron 88 octane.

My best guess is the winter blends….. I have no clue what else I can do to improve my mpg's at this point except put back in those clogged up filters!

16 in just the cold. I'm going to fill up in the next 2 days to find out 4wd mpgs. Will report back
