wheel bearing

I've just changed the front (left) wheel bearing (complete hub assembly) on my 07 sport 4x4. Before the change you could hear a bad whine coming from the front left. It would disappear when turning left.
After installing the new hub / bearing assembly I took my 4runner for a test drive. The whine is still there. Not quite as loud, and still disappears when turning left. Any ideas?
The bearing came from Bumper2Bumper Auto. I will call them on Monday to see if they is any chance it could be a defective unit.

When my bearing was going out, I could turn right and make the noise go away. I replaced the right side bearing thinking it was bad. Turns out it was the left side. Loading the bearing made it quiter for some reason.
 
Just did my left front wheel bearing Friday. It would whine at 40-50mph and the noise went away when turning even slightly right. It puts all the load on the right side meaning the bearing on the left is bad. No more problems.
 
The one you think would be bad, the left, isn't actually bad. For some reason it is opposite on the 4runner from what I read when I did mine. You should be able to take that one you took off, spin it and hear a noticable grinding if it is bad. (usually) Mine was pretty drastic. Or there is the possibility that both were bad as it is common for both to fail close to each other. Kind of like headlights.
