I've had to have my front driver's side wheel/hub bearing replaced three times in the past 18 months (approximately 15,000 miles). I'm not sure what's causing this, but I don't think it's bad wheel bearings that is the issue here. I've been to three mechanics (two were at Toyota dealerships), and each of them has told me that the wheel bearing is the issue and everything else seems to be totally fine. I'm having a hard time believing them, because I've never had to replace wheel bearings this often on any car before.
In the past 15,000 miles, my tires have also been wearing much faster than normal. Because of this, I've also had my tires and wheels aligned and balanced regularly, but it is still happening.
Anyone else ever had this problem? What else could be causing this? If you need any additional information to assist in your answers, please ask.
