Wheel not straight and light on after wheeling today.

Today I put in about 100 miles and some of it pretty rocky at the Devils Punchbowl area and ever since then my vehicle stability light won't shut off and my wheel is cocked to the driver side. Truck still tracks and drives straight just the wheel is cocked and the light is on. The threads I've searched referenced after alignments and so forth. Any ideas, and I'm 800 miles from home and had 2 more days wheeling planned. What are your guys thoughts?

Thank god it isn't. Also, I've disconnected the battery and checked everything underneath and it all looks good, nothing bent, no scrapes.

Wild guess but it might need a zero point calibration or since your wheel is off the steering rack needs to be adjusted a little. Either way it's an easy fix

This is my assumption as well, just get it aligned next week when I get home as the truck still drives just fine.

Exactly, just get it aligned when you get home making sure they recenter the steering wheel and reset the steering angle sensor.

I would take a look at the tie rods, steering rack.. and make sure nothing looks out of the ordinary.

If not, would keep wheeling it and then go get an alignment before driving 800mi home. You might need a ZPC to get the light off.

Check the TRE lock nuts to make sure they are tight, the 4 adjustment cam bolts on the LCAs, and the UCA bolt and nut. Something moved or bent/broke. I would strongly advise getting an alignment before heading home.

Know any decent shops in Western Co, in Crested Butte till Sunday but willing to drive.

This. Something moved/bent/broke/loose for your wheel to be center when you started, not centeted when you finished.

With the alignment, hopefully they find the culprit (broken, bent, missing parts) if not, a simple alignment should solve it

Unfortunately, the only one I know of is quite a hike further west for you, in Grand Junction - Safari Ltd. They are also pretty well known and have a long wait, though Hugh (owner) could probably squeeze you in if you explain your situation. Only open M-F as far as I know.

Anyone with an alignment rack should be able to get your toe set correctly, which would be the main factor that could destroy your tires.

Haven't solidified plans yet, but good chance I'll be between there and Marble this weekend. If you see a Grey 5th gen with Bajarack and Shrockworks bumper, that's probably me.

Got it aligned or shall we say driveable today. The tech in Gunnison thinks I bent the Knuckle or bent the tower where the uca bolt is. Either way it's driveable now and I'll tear into on Monday when I get back home.

Yep, I would guess you bent the spindle/knuckle. They make gusset kits for them. I think one of mine is very slightly bent, but it still aligns good enough to not worry about it.

BTW, it often happens when you wheel falls down in a rut and gets a strange side load... Maybe you an recall the situation...

I was in many strange situations where it could have happened. I'll look at the allpro's but will also check out the Total Chaos gussets. I have a good frame guy and it wil be on a rack next week to check it all out before I order in parts. I thought someone made gussets for the entire tower/uca mounts but I'm drawing a blank. It's all cheap enough ill gusset everywhere that someone makes one for just to reinforce the area.

IIRC, TC makes coil bucket gussets. Just be aware that as you strengthen one part, you may be moving your point of failure to more expensive or difficult to repair parts.
