Wheel Offset Advice

So you're almost an inch from stock with those wheels (stock is indeed 15mm positive offset).
The later models have lower stock suspension and if you're in an SR5 - I'm not sure what your flare situation is.
I was reading a thread about 5 Star wheels from FN Wheels that have a -23mm offset - saying it was a bit too aggressive for stock suspension and worked better with a 1.7" lift. A similar thread said the -6mm offset wheel would work fine, but look better with a lift as well.
Obviously not your exact situation - but maybe lift first, wheels later?
Yea, I'm not looking to do a lift right now, just new wheels/tires on the stock suspension. Maybe a light lift in the spring.

I have the Konig countersteer type x in 16x8 negative 20 offset. Running 265/75/16 on stock suspension. Rubs the front bumper flare in reverse at full clock. Otherwise no rubbing. The stance is perfect in my opinion. 3" Toytec boss coilovers going on next weekend.
I doubt you will rub with negative 6 offset if width is 8"
Pics of stock wheel profile vs konigs below. The wheels completely fill the wheel well. Difference is dramatic on stock suspension with a small amount of poke. With a lift the wheels will suck in and will sit flush with the flare.

No prob. With the fender flares, these trucks can do very negative offsets... makes for deep dishes and/or concave spokes. My second choice would have been the FN five stars.
Not a fan of wheel spacers. If running stock wheels, fine. If doing custom wheels, get the right offset.

You need to go to a site that sells wheels & plug in the offset you're looking for.
Any recommended sites? Doesn't seem like there are many wheels with aggressive fitment.

Pro Comp 7069 are a cheap popular option. The have 4" BS and -12mm offset.

I don't see the countersteer x in 16 at FN wheels and also no -20 offset. Special order?

They have the negative 20 offset upon request. Attached is the manufacturer's pic of the negative 20 offset in anthracite gunmetal. Note the deeper lip than the 0 offset pics on their site. This is the same offset as the wheels I posted above on my truck. Same color as well just different lighting.

Cool man. Thanks. I really liked the X but I wanted the deeper offset of the 5 star. So this is exactly what I'm looking for.

Happy to help. The five star is a great looking wheel. The spokes are concave. The only problem is five spokes on a 6 lug wheel... Not a balanced look in my opinion.
My daughter runs the Konig Countersteer Offroads (4.5" backspacing) on her 99 4Runner Limited. Previously ran Pro Comp 7069 (4.0" backspacing) with 285/75/16s running 3 inch lift.

Again...you want to look for 4.0- 4.5" backspace to work with a 285 size if that is the direction you are ultimately going.
In my opinion anything with a 4-4.5" backspace works will work fine. You need to stop thinking about offset it means nothing for comparison purposes. a 16 x 7.5 with -12mm offset does not have the same backspacing as a 16 x8 with -12 offset, or a 16 x 8.5 with -12 offset. Everyone of these will have different backspacing.
