Wheel spacers.... what do you got?

Hey everyone,

I had spidertrax hubcentric wheel spacers on my tacoma, they worked nice with no issues.

I also know that All-Pro make a set.

Does anyone have experience with any spacers, other than spidertrax?

Ran Spidertrax on a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with 35x13.5s for 3 years and serioius offroading. Good product! +1
 
I'm interested in putting wheel spacers on my '15 SR5. I've heard that they can prematurely wear your wheel bearings, anyone heard of this??

No more than aftermarket wheels with similar backspacing.... I wouldn't worry about it. The look is exactly what the 4Runner 5th Gen stance should have been all along IMHO.

I'm very happy with the Spidertrax, it's a high quality built part, more an adapter than a space, and work great! Simple to install and affordable.

As long as proper wheel spacer maintenance is done, you can't go wrong with either. But I'm personally running Spidertrax.

I couldn't agree more! That's exactly why I'm considering wheel spacers. I just want to be sure that I'm not creating a problem just to fix something, that for me, is purely aesthetics.

Does anyone have experience with these wheels?? They're what's on the the TRD Pro. Do they have the same offset as OEM??

During every other rotation, you should pull the spacers off and clean the threads. Then apply new locktite and retorque and spacer lugnuts again. I've seen wheel spacers break studs because they loosened up over time. You won't notice this until you pull the spacers off. Worst case scenario, the studs break and your wheel comes off with the spacer still attached.
 
I was gonna go with (and actually bought) TRD wheels and was planning on running SpiderTrax. I made the personal decision to get different wheels with appropriate back-space/off-set/width. Clearly YMMV

I have actually been driving a car down the highway when my studs broke, and wheel went flying down the road...
side note... ha
