Wheel Well ? For Trail Owners

I just did the Trail body parts conversion and as seen in the pic below there is this void in the front of each rear wheel well that nicely collects all sort of crap. Am I missing a part? Do you guys get junk in there too?

Phillyd2, mine does NOT look like that ! See below. 1st pic is back wheel well followed by front. That area on mine seems to be protected with the mud flap.

Rick, I'm talking about the rear wheel well but the front side. Could you please post pics of that portion?

Ok, take a look at this then. Hard to tell if mine is all that different from yours. It seems to be pretty smooth, well undercoated but I suppose you might collect a bit of debri in there.

I've only had mine this way for like 36 hours and that little 'pocket' is already full of crap.

Thanks Costas, at least I know I'm not missing something. I'm thinking of some sort of filler for that spot but wanted to confirm its 'normal' first.

Sorry for the thread necromancy but it's pretty close to an issue I was noticing on my brand new SR5. I have the Canadian running board/flaps package (since I'm in Canada) and have been annoyed that even going through a few urban puddles puts a lot of dirt on the rear section of the running board. I can only imagine the mess after driving hours on a snowy/slushy winter highway or even around town here in the spring. Lunkers anyone?

I searched and only found this thread. Has someone run across a front-of-well mudguard of sorts for the rear wheelwell? Very curiously my '08 Yaris has a factory small leading edge mud guard that would do pretty much exactly this.
