Wheeler's T1 Front Coil Spring

Wondering if anyone used this spring on the 3rd gen 4runner, was reading the specs on it and it gives approximately 3 inch of lift in front. any other info would be great. thanks.

I just put a set on my 99 Limited about a week ago. Paired with SuperFlex rears. There's a little rake, but not too bad. Haven't hit any hard trails, but I like them so far.

I have heard that eibach makes the same spring for both Wheeler (in black) and Toytec (in silver)

I have the Toytec ones on my '99 paired with Tundra billies up front. They may have settled some since I installed them. Need to go measure and check. Good spring for the money (Wheeler's is cheaper by $10)

Do you have an aftermarket front bumper? How is the ride on it and what front shock are you using? im trying to pair these with some OME 861 springs and wanted to see if its going to settle and be lower than 3 inch

The Wheeler T1 are the same spring as ToyTec 112-620, but a different color and a bit cheaper. After the ToyTec discount, they're only about $2 difference. Shipping from Wheeler's was a little cheaper too, but we're only talking $2. Wheeler's is closer to me than ToyTec so it's generally 2 days from order to my door. I've called both companies with questions and both are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

No aftermarket front bumper. (Well, not yet at least!) I'm running the Tundra Bilstein (24-261425) on the first perch in the front and the FJ Bilstein (33-187174) in the rear. They ride good. It's my DD and have no complaints.

Take this next statement with a lot of GoogleFoo...
I thought I read somewhere on here that the OME 861 would give about 6 inches of lift. If so, that would give a lot of rake with the T1's. I was thinking about running OME 890 springs, but after talking with ToyTec about their SuperFlex decided it was closer to a LC spring than the OME. From my understanding from talking with them, the OME 890 would be basically level under normal driving (ie not towing). Again, check these statements out. I could be wrong about the 861's.

As far as settling, I have no real world experience as I just put them on.

They don't feel too stiff to me. I was actually wanting a softer spring initially. Now after having driven them a bit, they're fine and I'm glad I went with them.

I'll have a better report mid-July after a trip over to Glacier.

Thanks for the info. I called Wheeler's yesterday and ordered 5100 for the 3rd gen 4runner with the T1 coil installed.

hopefully the 861 coils will settle a little but i still want the rake that the coils put out. i'll post up some pics when i do the install.

Like any coils they will break in/wear some, but I've only run them with the weight I have on my truck (arb, skids, E-rated 265/70 R17s) and can't but speculate how they would feel/perform on a stock weight vehicle

I think there are other springs/lift methods you can look at for stock weight vehicles
