Our SoCal group is nothing but Truly Amazing people!! From the moment we hit the trail each month I have witnessed every single individual remove the letter "I" and the word "Me" from "Team". The phrase "nobody gets left behind" well it's no phrase with the guys and gals here it's a solid Promise.
But what's better than all of the great people..at least for myself is all of there rigs in one place for me to drool on and eye f*** with my shades on.
Nothing like watching bada** rigs go to work on some trails...

Difficulty: Easy (Green) and Moderate (Blue) trails with challenges Most Difficult (Black)side trails.

Directions:
Northwest of Big Bear Lake, CA. Enter into the forest through Fawnskin. Travel up Polique Canyon Road, about a mile west of Discovery Center (get day use pass and check for closures here). Make a right, following sign for Holcomb Valley. Turn Left when you reach 3N16. Go West on 3N16 for many miles, past Big Pine Flats. At some point near Little Pine Flats, the road turns north and changes names, can't remember the name (look at a map before you go!). You will then be out of the forest and into desert scrub for a bit. The entrance to the trail will be on your right, marked "To 3N17".

Length of Trail: Unknown Mileage, but allow for about 4-5 hours

Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult

Whats up with the directions and meeting spot address im confused? Are we meeting at green valley address and all caravaning over to fawnskin and starting at polique like in the directions? Or is trailhead at meeting spot ?

Meeting spot is the address off green valley lakes rd. Then we follow the directions. Miah and Al knows it well. Don't worry brotha we'll get there.

I had so much dust covering the inside I had to wipe it down and I still had a buddy ask me what was wrong with my dash today, haha. Washed the outside though, I had 4 months worth of dirt from 5 different locations covering it. Plus I fixed my wheel flare so I couldn't have one clean piece and the rest dirt.

I may head up Friday night to camp and not have to get up so early plus i hate wheelin full of excess gear.... You wanna meet up then or send me info on spots so i can snag one?...i have a chill one by the squeeze also.

I agree. I am not a morning person so it's worth it to get there the day before and relax a bit then be fresh and ready for the run.

I would come up with you guys on Friday and camp if I didn't have to cover this football game. It would be nice to rest up and not get up so early in the morning. Maybe I'll think about it.

I suggest a vhf or HAM ...most of us run those, some have a CB in addition but i would get a baofeng uv5r, uv82 or something along those lines....i would consider purchasing a better antenna at the same time as well.

I have a spot reserved at serrano campground. Nick and al are camping with us. Pokits and tk422 has a spot in serrano as well. Don't have a spot for friday. You going up friday for sure? I'm not getting off work friday til 10pm. That's why I have to think about it.

Maybe camp near the meeting spot, crab flats, GVL campground, yellow post in that area. I have the same decision to make if I decide to come up friday. I have room for a second vehicle at my spot. It is a $5 per day extra fee. I will also be sleeping in the back of my 4Runner. I have it reserved for the 7th and 8th.

The wife is working so I will be flying solo.

TK, I got the greenlight from the boss to join so i'd like to snag your extra spot. i won't be coming up on friday though - i have a one-day trip to NorCal (fri morning to fri evening) so I can't imagine being able to leave fri night.

that being said, i know some others are looking for a campsite and [MENTION=140577]ChrisLe777[/MENTION] is doing the dispersed thing, so if the lack of a campsite is keeping anyone from joining the group, i'll gladly give it up and maybe can hook up with chrisle777 or anyone else doing the dispersed thing instead.

I'll have to look, but I believe we did 2N54 to 3N16 to 3N14, the intersection is where we took our first big break.

I had a conflict clear up this weekend, so I'm trying to figure out if we can pull this off. The sites are full so we'd have to figure out a spot for dispersed camping. The other obstacle is the lack of radio. Life is getting in the way and I haven't finished studying for the HAM tech license yet. If most guys are using HAM, I may need to join you guys for the next one.
