Before you order the Demello's you should checkout a couple others you may like (I like supporting the local fab shops don't get me wrong) but if there's something better out there for the same buck ..hey it is what it is, or if the style is better suited for you ..hey it is what it is.

hi guys. just checking in.

Got back late last night after camping Sunday night up near Butler peak. We (dog and I) went up to the peak early in the morning. There's a fire lookout up on the tippy top peak with a volunteer ranger up there. And get this - the volunteer dude up there taught at my middle school back when I was there and remembered my name - he had taught my brother! We were just shooting the shit for a while. Then we (dog and I) went down to the Big Bear Discovery Center (at the volunteer's suggestion) and from there took a ~8mile round trip hike up to Bertha peak. After that it was time to pack it up, hit up my parents' (on the way home) for some food and a dog wash, then get on home to unpack and sleep on a nice comfy bed.

So, I made it and I'm not dead. Thanks all!

It was a great trip, learned a few new tricks (Miah's breakfast burritos and I think it was Ryan who had baby shampoo and water bottle mixture for soap, both ideas that I am stealing for my/our next trip) and I'm looking forward to many more to come.

As far as carnage goes, I lost my rear toyota emblem, and I tweaked my drivers rear lca mount. Time to make more armor.

I think total chaos makes a control arm brace for those week rear mounts.

I started out with a small Lincoln 110 MIG welder but when I wanted to build my Bronco I needed more power so I ran 220V in the garage and bought a Miller Millermatic 175 so I could weld thicker metal. That bumper was made out of 1/4" steel.

I also fabricated the SAS with a 4 link and built it from scratch. It required a lot of heavy welding.

My Dad taught me how to weld. It came in handy.

Now I am missing my old Bronco. :(
