Wheeling around Chattanooga?

I'm trying to plan a trip on Dec 12th to Coppinger cove or Prentice Cooper if anyone is in, I posted on the thread of ( Anyone in Midd ten ) I've been to Prentice Cooper but not the Cove.

I'll be headed to Fort Oglethorpe to pick up a new ride Saturday. Thinking about running by PC while I'm down there.

If I read the signs correctly last weekend, Prentice Cooper is closed for big game hunting for a few weeks and then they have the winter closures to prevent erosion on the trails. The next time we can go is sometimes in March (I think).

I'd love to go, but I'll be dealing with a different kind of recovery. [emoji107]

?

What new ride are you getting? Let me know when you are in Ft. O if you have time maybe we could grab lunch, dinner, or something. I'm only 10 minutes from there. Just shoot me a text.

Interesting Anyone know the details? I would try to go and get off work if its open.

Hmmmm, we might be able to go this weekend and next. This stuff is so confusing.

So, I'll probably be making a trip down there this weekend with my offroad group lol. If Prentice Cooper is closed, we can always ride the redneck trails at Bigfork or Coppinger Cove.

Has anyone been to Prentice Cooper/ Bigfork besides me? I didn't find any of the famous rock ledges that I was hoping for...

Haven't been there myself. Coppinger Cove is good, a lot of rock crawling though.

According to that info, it'll be open this weekend.

This is the new ride...

I'm not planning to go for an all day trip to PC. Just a quick look. A friend is riding with me so he can drive the 4Runner back.

Let me know if any of y'all make it down there on Saturday. I'll try to catch up with you if we go.

So I've checked out the Cove and looks fun but with all the rain we have had I may pass on that and hit prentice for a nice good day ride, I'm still wanting to hit the Cove soon though.

Hit Haley road one last time before they close it for the winter [emoji22]

So, the TTU offroad group is going to Prentice Cooper on Tuesday the 8th. If anyone wants to join us, y'all are welcome to. I know most people work during the week, but if someone works odd hours or weekends or something, hit me up!

The plan is to leave Cookeville at 9 AM CST and come back in the late afternoon.

So, I didn't go to PC today because everyone that was interested bailed on me and I don't want to go alone. That means, that I can make it this Saturday (as far as I know). I am proposing that we meet at the first trail junction on Haley Road at 11 AM Central time.

The route I want to suggest is we do a short little loop South of Haley Rd and after that, head over to Game Reserve Road. Then, we'll go all the way south and do all the loop trails down there and look off the many bluffs above the TN river. Then, if we want to do more, we can head North on Game Reserve Rd and do some of the loop trails on the West side.

Here is what I am talking about on the map

If we still want to do more after that, we can head up to the Bigfork area that's about 15 minutes away from the middle of PC SF.

Wish I didn't have to work this weekend. If you go next weekend let me know.
