And oh my god I can't wait to get these on when I get off work ahhaha. P265/75R16 mickey thompson MTZs with Mickey thompson sidebiter wheels...if there was a drool smiley I'd put it.

I've been playing with the idea of taking the boards off. It's my dads truck so Idk if he wants to take them off because he's a short dude. I'll ask him later tonight. I haven't found a place that sells the front mud guards that look stock. I went to the Yota dealer a long time ago when i drove the 4runner myself and they said they didn't have that.

Stupid dealerships. Pics of them on the 4runner will be up later this afternoon :D
 
I have the same tires on my 97. They perform on all types of terrain phenomenally. They were also rated the #1 off road tire in 4wd magazine primarily because of the self cleaning aspect. Mine are set on Tundra rims and the backspacing on the rim is barely enough to clear the upper control arm. Take a close look and make sure there isn't any rubbing which of course you wouldn't notice unless you were flexed or in a deep turn. All in all nice choice and enjoy them!

Everything i have read says the Tundra rims are 4.625 backspaced but i also have 285's which can also impact tire rub on the upper control arm. I also have a lift which brings the upper control arm up. I think you will be alright but may run into a challenge if you ever intend on lifting it.
 
I really like those wheels! You shouldn't rub with 265/75s on those Sidebiters with 4.5" BS even if you lift it. 285s would probably rub a little though like Toy4ever said. Congrats, I wanna see the pics!!!

haha i took work off the day mine were being shipped because i didn't want to miss the UPS truck. :iagree: with the excitement!
 
Thanks man! Yeah those MTZs have a sexy hum to them at speed. The combo definitely transformed the look of this thing and my dad is in love with it.

We're getting the roof repainted next because it's all oxidized and the clear coat is gone. I'll get a pic of the 4runner and my Wrangler together tomorrow :D

Looks great! They look big for 265s too for some reason. It seems like a lot of people with that color have fading/oxidation issues, not sure why.
 
I had the same problem with my anthracite metallic. Had to get the whole top half repainted. Also got a grey pinstripe down the side that matches my fenders so that the paint blends. I wonder why the anthracite color does that.
