When do you guys wash your T4R?

I was just wondering when do all of you guys wash you T4R? I like to wash my car when the sun starts to go down. Just the way i do it though. I used to do it in the morning on weekends but im just so lazy to get up.

Almost 50 today might wash it thurs. you CA guys have it made.

Depends on the weather and time of year. In the summer, we have to wash in the morning before it gets too hot. In the spring and fall, usually have to wait until afternoon for it to warm up enough to make it easy to dry. And winter -- well, just hope there is a good coat of wax on it. Good thing they don't use salt on the roads here.

i like to wash mine at the break of dawn. that way i can spend the rest of my day doing other things and it won't suddenly get dark on me.

Same here! As long as I'm washing in the shade, or the sun is at a low angle, and the temps are above freezing......... I'll wash!

There are 2 ways to keep your T4R looking nice, keep it in a garage away
from the weather, wash as often as possible.

If you don't drive your T4R and keep it covered in a garage it will look great forever.
It is the weather and dirt that cause all the problems. You probably can do little
about the weather, but you can do something about the dirt.

I'd like to wash it as night as well. This way I can hand wash with a bucket and mitt at the self-serve wand washes. City bylaws prevent me from washing it on our driveway.

Always after dinner.....as the sun is going down in the driveway. For more intense jobs like waxing and such, or when the weather's not cooperating, I have after hours access to a huge indoor, fully stocked detail shop

After taking notice of how busy the car wash gets during the day time.. I've begun taking my T4R to handwash/handdry at night. The bays are heated and there's hardly anyone there... and the people that are there.. are crazy like me.

I washed mine today. It was 22 and full sun. Felt great. Hard to wipe the ice off though. Neighbors downhill from me were pissed.

Wash and Dry.... not harmful.

Polish and Wax.... could damage your factory clear coat if you do it too much. The polish is like an abrasive.. it just polishes off the a layer off the car.

Chrome, Trim, Tires, Windows... do it as much as you want.

ps. you're more of a clean freak than I am.

I see. What you can do is.. polish twice a year... and wax as many times as you want.... 1998 should still be ok... but I bet that truck is "uber shiny"

yeah, i wash the car when it gets real sunny and warm out here... say about 33's... had to fire up the grill and celebrate the warm weather since we dont get as lucky as you westerners out there...
