When will the Bilstein 6112 be released?

Thank you for the information! As it stands now I need to either go up or down...

Currently on 4th clip and running 265's. Wife saw it yesterday and said ohhhh... I don't like that. Neither do I at this moment but I am trying to decide to either bring the front down or raise the rear.
If I go down, what setting would set me just below level? I like the look of the TRD Pros and how they sit so if I went down I would try to emulate the Pro.
If I raise the rear, what would be the best overall performing spring for light loads with minimal increase of hight?
Any and all feedback is appreciated.

I have the 6112s and even on the 3d clip they're slightly higher than 1.85 as is advertised. I've been running them for a few hundred miles now and they either haven't settled yet or did and that is just where it'll be. That said, I'm running 285s so I have TT Superflex 2.0 springs in rear. Even the sway away springs which are rated at 1.5 inches of lift in rear are typically slightly higher.

If you are looking for an inch or less of lift in rear you might consider spacers.

First of all, I would let it settle for a while before making a big change. I think if you want it level go to the 3rd clip. If you want the stock forward rake go to the 2nd. I personally would add 1.5" spring in the rear and go with the 5160s (or 5100s would work too).

I also installed the 5160's in the rear but installed them on OEM coils. What 1.5" springs would you suggest? I can't find any around...

The stock TRD Pro look would come from the 2nd clip giving approx 1.25" of lift. From most of the stuff I have read neither the 6112's or SAW's settle that much. The Saw's usually run about 1.5-1.75" of lift with 3rd row or being under constant load and about 2" without the 3rd row or not under load.
TotalAutomotiveLV usually recommends the Icon 2" rear springs that give you a true 2" of lift and evidently have a very good matching spring rate to the 5160's. If you go this route you could set the 6112's on the 3rd notch for a 2" increase all around giving you a stock look just up 2". Check out CSix build thread...IMO it looks really good and he's running 265's. (This would be my choice)

Finally you could keep the front on the 4th clip with approx 2.5" of lift and run either of those springs in the back. Plenty of pics of this type of lift if you search...a lot of guys run their 5100's at 2.5 front with the SAW's, Icon 2", or Toltec 2" superflex. If you search those setups you'll hopefully get tons of pics to point you in the right direction for you!

Good Luck and post pics with your final decision!

I went with the Saw-a-Way but they don't make them anymore. Wheeler's Off-Road supposedly went to Eibach (same manufacturere as the SAWs) to reproduce the same spring. But when I went to the replacement spring's web page, the description says it gives the 2010+ 2.5". You could go with a ICON or Toytech 2" but the rake would be more pronounced. Or you could go with a Daystar 1.5" spacer if you don't offroad too much.

Or - you could add a nice aftermarket bumper and winch that will push the nose down a bit :-).

Toytec is selling Sway A Way 1.5" springs on their website. I bought a pair about a month ago that I haven't installed yet because I can't decide if I'm ready to part with my TT superflex coils or not. Kind of like the rake, especially when loaded down.

@ Cymon, thanks for the info. I read Csix' write up and will most likely go with Icon 2" springs. In time I will most likely upgrade to 275 KO2's but that is a ways down the road.

Ha!! Yeah, that's all I need... Encouragement to spend more $$$!!

I would love to add a SSS bumper but have other changes I'd like to make ahead of the bumper...

I definitely have considered the SAW's or the late replacement a but saw the end result would be more than desired... I think Icon it is.

Anyone used the OME 895E with the 5160's? I was looking at going with those which are supposed to be for the 4th gen and give 1.5" on the 5th's...spring rate is higher though...250-260 lbs I think for more load

Chris

Yes, they ride much firmer than the ICON but are great if you are carrying some weight.

Alright, installed Icon 2" rear coil springs today to eliminate the reverse take I had on the truck. Overall I am happy with the look of the vehicle.

After the install I took it for a quick spin up a old country road with many re-filled potholes. The truck responded well. Quick and sharp response to the uneven pavement, not as "smooth" as I would have liked but I'm sure things will settle a bit. Swapping out the springs in the rear definitely made a difference to the overall performance of the vehicle. The suspension is a little stiffer than I wanted but I do like the additional ground clearance and the look of the rig. I'll get it cleaned up and post some more pics.

Thank you all who have participated to this forum. I have learned a lot and continue to on a daily basis. I'll post some more later.

Almost forgot to mention, when I started the process I noticed hydraulic fluid at the tip of the reservoir:

And while I was on my test drive I got out to check how things were in the back and I could hear the shock fluid in motion... Seams like the shock is leaking... No Bueno. I haven't done any off roading since purchasing the truck, just have been using it as a daily driver. I'll send an email over to Bilstein tomorrow or soot see what they say.

Let me know what you guys think.

Took a trip to visit my father for Fathers Day and he has a '16 SR5 that I have been wanting to take some side by side photos. Didn't quite take the time to get the photos I wanted but I snapped off a couple. More so, seeing the two 4runners side by side made feel better about the decision to upgrade the suspension.
I even took his for a drive and in the end I decided that I preferred the stiffer spring rate of the Eibach springs on the front and rear of the truck. Much more firm and responsive. I am very happy with my purchase. Here are a few photos:

Does anyone know if the bottom notch will net any lift? The chart says zero but I can't say I trust that given others' results...
