where can i send a power line to the amp through the firewall

I ran mine through the rubber seal on the drivers side. There is a large tube already running through the seal. I simply made a small cut and put the wire through the cut. I can take a picture later. But it just started thunderstorming and my car is outside :|

I see one with a big set of wires going through there, but there is also another one plugged into that.

Yes! That's it. I just found a larger spot and made a small incision but big enough to get my wire through (4gauge). The rubber squeezes back around it fairly well but i guess if you wanted it completely sealed you could tape or use some sort of sealer to reseal it all the way. But yes, that's the one I use.

After it runs through that i have it running behind the panel to the left of the footrest and then under the plastic step thing. then under the carpet and through the hole for the seatbelt sensor, to my amp.

That's exactly how I did mine, and seems to be the standard practice for a typical system install.


But there's always the option of drilling a new hole. Most amp install kits come with rubber grommets, or you can get them at most parts stores.

What I wanted to do was just a termporary setup for the time being. As of right now I have two 12s in the back, and my plan later is to put two 10s in a custom fiberglassed box.
