Where Do You Store Your Sunglasses. . .

. . .when they're not on your face? The visors are too thick for the typical "Sunglass Hut" spring clip.

What year/type is your rig????? Nothing in your sig or your post to help us help you. Different years have different features. My 03 had a glasses holder, my 14 does not. I use a hard case in the glove box or center console.

While I have the overhead sunglasses holder, I actually lined the forward part of the "storage area" in the middle of the drivers door (That is part of the hole for the door handle) with some sticky back velcro. The fuzzy side of course. I store my sunglasses or glasses in there as needed.

On my 2015 TE there is no holder by those control knobs. I have been hanging mine from the basically otherwise useless assist handle above the door. I just insert the earpieces (bows) into the handle and the lens frames hold them in place. If they will not be used for an extended time they are put in a hard case and stored in the map slot on the door.

What an interesting thread as i thought about this too. I have the 15 TE and that sunglass holder up top is replaced with the trail knobs so no go there. My oakleys now reside in the small compartment right under the radio but it barely fits. Im thinkin that's a CB area.

"This" doesn't exist in a 2015 Trail.

I have the 2015 TRDP, and I haven't found a great place for mine yet either. They started out in the little box at the bottom of the center stack in front of the shifter, but once I installed the brake controller that ended. I then moved them to the center console, which was to hard to get in and out of while driving to me it was as bad of a distraction as texting. Right now, they either sit in the leather of the 4x4 shifter, or in that little weird panel/shelf on the door. I know it seems like a silly odd question for many people on here, but honestly I have had this same issue and it's pretty damn annoying for people with OCD. :tongue1:

Thanks for the replies so far. I've been draping them over the 4WD lever, as the boot is soft "leather" and won't scratch. There's got to be a better solution. When they're cased up, the map slot in the door would work, as would the center console. Hadn't thought about the grab handle. . .need to take a look.

I leave mine in the little tray in front of the door handle. So far they haven't scratched or dropped off while opening and closing the door.

You can always put them over the corner of the sun visor at an angle to.
