Where does everyone buy tires from?

Curious to know where you all are getting your tires from. I had a rock go through my KO2 sidewall a few weeks back in Baja and need to replace it. I bought a set of 5 KO2s from 4 Wheel Parts. So far they have been ok to deal with, but I live 20+ miles away from the nearest one (I live on the coast in SD and closest one is in El Cajon). I have about 23k miles / 2 years on the set so I'm debating going to 4WP for their "warranty" or just getting a new one at a tire shop chain down the street or tire rack or The Truck Shop?

What really bugged me was that the 4WP doesn't even have a waiting/sitting area...had to sit outside on the curb with my pup.

Anyways look forward to hearing where you guys go. Need that spare for summer wheeling!

America's Tires. I have been using them for nearly 20 years for all my tires and wheels. They have the lowest prices and will beat anyone else's legit price if you do find it lower somewhere else. Also great customer service and they're everywhere so if you have a problem any of their stores will help.
 
I have yet to need tires for my 4Runner, however I have bought plenty of tires from OnlineTires.com. Probably a ways from you as they are located in Los Angeles. I've also purchased from eBay, and in both instances I had them installed locally.

Now that I'm in AZ, I buy tires from Discount Tire (I believe they are the same as America's Tire). That is more of chain like you are describing. They have clean waiting rooms, friendly staff, and replace nail punctures for free. Good luck.

Thanks guys. Yep I used to go there too (still call themselves Discount Tire in SD county and across the nation). Not sure why I switched it up to go to 4WP...but will probably be returning.
 
Since you're in San Diego, the Discount Tire in Rancho Penasquitos is fantastic. They'll typically match lowest advertised price from anywhere, and you can get lifetime balance/rotation either for free for for a little more.

I've used them for probably 5 sets of tires on everything from sports cars to the 4Runner. They're legit.
 
America’s Tire and nowhere else. Service has always been fantastic (except for one guy), pricing great, return policy is surprising, and they’ve come through for me in some crazy ways.
 
Used Discount Tire as well for the only time I've had to change tires.

American tires n discount tires areally different in sd..there is a trademark issue so it gets confusing who is who depending on where u live

Haven't found out more about it. But haven't asked either. But I don't think Discount/America's Tires provide alignments at all. At least around me in San Diego they don't.
 
So it looks like everyone uses discount tire/AT or their eBay presence. Are they good at balancing the tires or do you recommend the install elsewhere?

I don't have a lot of choices near me. I usually go to a regional chain (Jack Williams) or Sam's club. I've actually got some really good deals at Sam's but their deals vary.

Sorry, I just realized this was Socal.
 
I think sams probably has the same rotating deals that Costco does. They will only do stock tire sizes though. At least that was Costco’s rules

I also use Americas Tire Company. There are local Discount Tire Centers that won a trademark lawsuit which is why it is named differently in most of So Cal.

Great prices, Clean waiting rooms, Online ordering and appointments. If anything isn't quite right they will advise you and give you options on how to proceed without trying to up sell you.

My last set of 5 KO2's on the 4Runner they asked me if I wanted to put the scratched up wheel in the spare position so they would know where to mount the pressure sensors on the other wheels.

Impressive. I just got my tires of DTD on ebay. I'll check out the online appointments!

Which one do you prefer?
