Where is air bag module located at 2015 4Runner?Wh

Where is air bag module located at 2015 4Runner? I changed both side curtain airbags, driver knee and steering wheel air bag after wreck. I need to locate the module to send it out to be reset. Also I have already switched the airbags is it safe to put battery back on? When the airbags deploy in a wreck I think it deactivates the whole system until module is reset. Just want to make sure when I plug battery back up it don't set off the new air bags. Any help will greatly be appreciated.

Well... According to the FSM:

2. INSPECTION PROCEDURE FOR VEHICLE INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT

(a) When the airbag has not deployed, confirm the DTCs by checking the SRS warning light. If there is any malfunction in the SRS airbag system, perform troubleshooting.

(b) When any of the airbags have deployed due to the collision, be sure to replace all sensors in the damaged areas and center airbag sensor assembly.​

Never heard of being able to get the SRS ECUs "reset", that's a first I've heard of it. Any particular reason you didn't get insurance involved?

The SRS ECU is located ontop of the transmission tunnel under in front of the center console (basically tucked under your center stack area where you have HVAC controls and such.

I bought it wrecked and fixing it. The air bag module is behind the a/c heat controls? I had a guy said he thought it was under center console. If I hook battery back up before module is reset will it deploy the new bags?

Any info. Or diagram on getting everything off to get to the module?

That's roughly where it's located on the 4Runners.

It shouldn't set the airbags off, but it won't work because the unit will have fault codes in it (at least it should).
