Where to buy OEM Hitch?

Where can I buy an OEM trailer hitch from the v6 4runner? I know theres tons of aftermarket ones out there, but they hang down past the bumper and look sloppy (IMO) and reduce ground clearance. I like the way the OEM hitch tucks up behind the bumper and isn't such an eye sore. I checked at the local Toyota dealer and they wouldn't tell me who made it or if I could even get one. I'd like to get one before racing season starts around March, as I don't think my shifter kart will fit in the back, nor would I want to put it there. eace:

Just note that you will also need a new rear bumper cover.

I considered going with the factory hitch but given the cost and the difficulty of finding a replacement rear bumper cover (or cutting my existing bumper cover) I just went with an aftermarket U-Haul hitch. Honestly, it doesn't really compromise your departure angle at all.

If you think about all the pickup trucks out there that are 'wheeling, note that even a short bed pickup usually has a much, much longer rear overhang than an SUV like the 4runner, so the half a degree or so of departure angle that you'd lose is pretty inconsequential.

The FJ Hitch will bolt onto the 4th gens.
